At tonight’s meeting, we were pleased to welcome Sister Huguette Daguerre, Worthy Grand Matron and Brother Armand Lono, Worthy Grand Patron, Brother Robert Evans G.G.C.C.M. and Chairperson on Payroll (our Guardian Angel), Sister Brenda Shaw-Radford, G.G.C.C.M. and Chairperson on Unfinished Business, Sisters Anita Young (Grand Secretary), Marion Loffelmann, Audrey Willaimson and Alana Farrell, Past Grand Matrons, Brothers Jarka Loffelmann, John Wise, Terence Radford and William Winter, Past Grand Patrons, Sisters Fabienne Winter, AGM, Pierrett Langevin, Grand Trustee, Sandra Ewart, Grand Esther and Marjorie Empey, Grand Martha and Brother Gordon Young Grand Sentinel. All were warmly welcomed by the Worthy Matron, Sister Barbara Wheaton, G.G.C.C.M. on Public Relations and PGM of Vermont and the Worthy Patron, Brother Robert Wheaton.

After the introductions, the minutes were read and the accounts and communications were dealt with by the Worthy Matron.

Under Special Committees, the Worthy Matron reminded everyone of our Annual BBQ to take place on July 24th at her house. She also reminded everyone that our Annual Drawing would take place in September and that prizes would be needed.

Under Good of the Order, the Delegations of the evening were presented. Fourteen members representing six chapters were welcomed by the Worthy Matron.

As this was Men’s Night, all the Master Masons were presented in the West where the Worthy Matron read a poem about Father’s Day after which they were all given homemade chocolate gifts made by the Worthy Matron.

The Secretary presented a report on all the charitable donations made throughout the year. To date the chapter has donated $620.27 to various charities. It was moved that we make further donations to the MAD-Mackay Rehab centre, the Old Brewery Mission, The Arthritis Society, the Salvation Army, the Parkinson’s Society, the Montreal General Hospital Foundation and the Educational Loan Fund. With is motion, our total donations for the year is $795.27.

Sister Huguette Daguerre, WGM, Brother Armand Lono, WGP, Brother Robert Evans, G.G.C.C.M, Sister Marion Loffelmann, PGM and Sister Fabienne Winter, AGM were all invited to address the chapter, after which the Benevolent collection was taken and those approaching the Birthday Box were congratulated by the Worthy Patron.

After the meeting, we all gathered to enjoy a wonderful Strawberry Social, catered by the men.

The Chapter will be dark for the months of July and August but we will be back in September when it will be All Officer’s Night and we will be holding our Annual Draw.
