In honour of Shrove Tuesday, we started our meeting with a delicious pancake supper with some wonderfully homemade baked beans and sausages.

Sister Terry Clark, P.M. and Brother Terence Radford, P.G.M. acted as Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron for the evening. We had the honour of welcoming Sister Brenda Shaw-Radford, G.G.C.C.M., Sisters Anita Young (Grand Secretary) and Alana Farrell, Past Grand Matrons, and Brother William Winter, Past Grand Patron, Sister Fabienne Winter, AGM and Brother Gordon Young Grand Sentinel. All received warm welcomes from the Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron.

After the reading of the minutes, the accounts and communications were then dealt with by the Worthy Matron. Brother Gordon Young has once again volunteered to look after the Sign-a-Line for Grand Chapter (I think this is a permanently volunteered position!).

Under Unfinished Business, a team was formed for the upcoming Olympic Games that are to be organized by the Committee on Arrangements, with Brother Gordon Young as captain and Sisters Anita Young, Alana Farrell, Heather MacDonald and Debbie Gamble and Brother Frank Nemeth as his team mates. We will be representing Canada.

Under Good of the Order, the benevolent collection was taken and those approaching the Birthday Box were congratulated by the Worthy Patron. We then had the pleasure of hearing from Sister Fabienne Winter, AGM and Brother William Winter, PGP.

We will have the pleasure of welcoming the Worthy Grand Matron and Worthy Grand Patron and their core of Officers at our March meeting for their Official Visit.
