Sister Brenda Shaw-Radford mentioned that she had received a card from Sister Louise Hall of Cowansville #17, along with a couple of pictures of two ladies at the BMP Hospital wearing shawls that our chapter had donated. Sister Heather MacDonald (our Worthy Matron) also brought articles this evening that she had made for the hospital. Her church group was looking for someplace new to donate crocheted items and Sister Heather mentioned where we donate to, so they in turn gave some articles. Thanks very much to the ladies of the St. Barnabas Guild in St. Lambert for their generosity. Sister Terry Clark mentioned that she has collected over 300 articles of toiletries, etc. to give to the hospital. Many thanks to her son who gave her things that he has brought back from trips.

It Is With Sadness

It is with sadness that we report the passing of our Brother Frank Nemeth on March 2, 2011.

Brother Frank was initiated into the Order on December 14, 1978 in St. Lambert Chapter #15, where he served as Worthy Patron in 1981, 1986 and 1996. Brother Frank affiliated with Friendship Chapter #54 on September 27, 1988 where he served as Worthy Patron in 1991, 1997 and 1998. After the consolidation of St. Lambert Chapter #15 and Rosemount #44, he served as Worthy Patron in the newly formed Rosemount-St. Lambert #15 in 2004, 2007 and 2008. He took his Demit from Friendship-Victoria Chapter #54 in 2006, only to become a member once again in Friendship Chapter #15 after the consolidation of Rosemount-St. Lambert #15 and Friendship-Victoria #54. Throughout his membership, Brother Frank also held the offices of Associate Patron, Marshal, Warder and Sentinel. Brother Frank served Grand Chapter as a Grand Warder in 1998. He was also Grand Representative to Minnesota in 2003 and Wisconsin in 2010.

Brother Frank was initiated into Victory Lodge #94 in Rosemount and later affiliated with Greenfield Park Lodge #133. After taking his demit from Greenfield Park Lodge, he joined St. Lambert Lodge # 95 where he was the Tyler up until this year. He was also an affiliated member of Stanbridge Lodge #19. Brother Frank was Worshipful Master for two years in a row and also served as Grand Steward. He was a dedicated Mason and hated to miss a meeting. He also had a passion for soccer and fishing.

Brother Frank is survived by his loving wife, Sister Josephine, his children, Eva (her husband Luc), Rose (her husband Nick), Joy (her husband Kostas) and Frank Jr. (his wife Rachel) as well as his grandchildren, Shelby, Francois, Zachary, Marigo, Jo-z, Peter and Michael.

A Masonic Service was held on March 6th followed by a service held at the Greenfield Park United Church.

There is a gateway of Faith and Hope
Through which we pass when bonds release,
And it leads to the feet of the Master
To the beautiful Garden of Peace.

To his wife, Josephine, his children, grandchildren and his family in Hungary and Germany, we extend our deepest sympathy.
