This was the last meeting for our Worthy Matron, Sister Barbara Wheaton and Worthy Patron, Brother Robert Wheaton. We congratulate them both on a wonderful year.
We had the pleasure of welcoming our Worthy Grand Matron, Sister Fabienne Winter and Worthy Grand Patron, Brother Eric Sanborn. This was the first time welcoming Brother Eric to our chapter since he was installed.
Also welcomed this evening were Sister Brenda Shaw-Radford, G.G.C.C.M. and Chairperson on Unfinished Business, Sisters Eileen Eldridge, Florence Ellerton, Hélène LeBel, Anita Young, Grand Secretary, Marion Loffelmann, Alana Farrell, Beverley Sanborn and Huguette Daguerre, Past Grand Matrons and Brothers Jarka Loffelmann, Rodney Jenne, Terence Radford, Angus Strong and William Winter, Past Grand Patrons. All were welcomed by the Worthy Matron, Sister Barbara Wheaton, G.G.C.C.M. on Public Relations and PGM of Vermont and accorded Grand Honours.
Sisters Judy Christiansen, Associate Grand Matron; Hélène Emond Vauclair, Associate Grand Conductress; Janet Patch, Grand Chaplain; Helen Black, Grand Marshal; Huguette Strasbourg, Grand Organist; Mary Miller, Grand Adah; Elaine Young, Grand Ruth; Marguerite Blair, Grand Martha; Patricia Green-Milberg, Grand Electa and Brother William Miller, Grand Warder were presented in the West, welcomed by the Worthy Matron and given a hearty welcome.
It was reported that or Brother Nicholas Samalack, P.G.P. had passed away on November 8th. He will be sorely missed and our condolences go out to his wife, Sister Florence Samalack, P.G.M.
Under Good of the Order, the Worthy Matron gave her farewell address and thanked the chapter for their continuous support. The Associate Matron and Associate Patron presented gifts to the Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron on behalf of the members.
After the benevolent collection was taken, we had the pleasure of hearing a few words from Sister Fabienne Winter, Worthy Grand Matron, Brother Eric Sanborn, Worthy Grand Patron, Sister Eileen Eldridge, P.G.M., Sister Judy Christiansen, Associate Grand Matron and Brother William Miller, Grand Warder.
The meeting closed early, at 9:05 p.m., in order to prepare for the Special Meeting for the purpose of Installation of Officers.
